I'll keep on searching for more during this week, I have tons of "vintage" stuff and I love when, sometimes, I found designs (like one beside) that I don't even remember!!!

Ròisín Murphy in Concert, Madrid

AMAZING is the right word to describe Ròisín Murphy's last Sunday concert in Madrid. Although the place is not my favourite in Madrid, the sound in La Riviera Club is far to have quality enough for this kind of events, I must say she played so fantastic that she could make us all to forget this inconvenience. She opened with "Overpowered" and she kept herself high of ultrapowered energy from the begining to the end. Her performance, absolutely incredible, fun and with a super voice quality. The costumes as spected: Awesome! Personally, it was long time without enjoing a concert that much. The band and the chorus as high as her. Fun, fun, fun... Thanks to her I won't hate Sundays anymore...

My Favourite Catalogue this season

This is my favourite fashion catalogue this winter by far. I love the way it's been binded, so delicate and femenine but cool and new at the same time. Once you open it you realize how special is. A mix between a concept book and a old photo album. I'm afraid it's not common to find fashion cataloges so refined like this from Vanessa Bruno nowadays. Pure poetry.

London Calling

Lucky me! What an incredible nice weather I had in London last week. Anyway, I love London, sunny, rainny, in all ways. I´m enclosing some pics from windows-shops. I took them during trip. I hope they give you an idea about what's is going on there... I'm afraid there wasn't too many new things. Maybe, midseason sale doesn't help a lot.

Back From Paris

Apart from my massive flu, I´m afraid I didn't bring too many new things from Paris this time. Premiere Vision was impregnated with a virus even worse than the flu one, yes "Crisis" everywhere. The favourite word this season for suppliers, clients, designers, trains (a transport strike was on during the whole week)... Anyway, "show must go on" and we must see the positive side of bad things, at least we hadn't to wait or postpone our appointments with fabrics suppliers. Actually, they were looking for you through the aisles on the fair.
Although for next season pastel colours have been collected in PV colour palette, I missed them showed in fabrics collections (samplers). I saw quite a lot wool structures, checks (of course...), "hairy" finishings fabrics (kind of mohair look), structured silks for tops in light weights, cordoroy (I'm afraid is coming back, those who have been working in MNG for a while like me know quite well what it means to get corduroy indigestion for the rest of your "fashion life"). The best part of the collections: knit aspects. Cut and sewn knits were, in my opinion, the more inviting aspects in the collections. Also, doing shopping all around Paris areas, you realized about this quickly. Mostly, the new ideas I found, were applyed on knit garments represented in almost all the collections in all the labels.

Anyway, if I had to say what was new in this last PV it would be "Japanesse Fabrics". All the highligts in the forum were from that amazing country. They do know perfectly well what's the meaning of the words Creation, Innovation and Talent. It's easy to understand why they are allways one step ahead in fashion. It's a pitty their prices are as higher as their ideas! One day, may be...

Premiére Vision

Next Sept. 23rd, is the opening for Premiere Vision AW'o9 at Paris, Parc d'Expositions Villepinte. We could see there how fabric and trimmings suppliers translate trends alredy shown at the catwalks into new colours, materials and proposals. Premiere Vision is always a great excuse to go shopping and to get lost in wonderful Paris. I hope to see you around!
